When Queen Elizabeth came to Ireland for her historic visit in 2011, I was lucky enough to be the Lighting Designer and provider lighting for the events, including those at Dublin Castle, Cork English Market, the CCD Concert.

Many photographers took pictures and, until recently, I had some of them on this page. However after a demand from PicRights for over €500 for licensing of just three of them, I reluctantly took the pictures down.

One photographer Mark Maxwell was decent enough to waive his fee, but the the full fee had to be paid to PicRights under threat of further sanctions. A pity, given that I had no objection to them photographing subjects, stages and places I had lit for their shots.
